Community Orientation to FGC and Organizational Considerations
Half-day tailored presentation re: general overview, organizational support, community building for Family Group Conferencing.
Target Group: Stakeholders and Decision Makers
Fee: $500 for one trainer, plus travel and accommodation expenses, if applicable

One-Day Basic Training
Target group: referring workers; prospective coordinators; other stakeholders
Goals:
To develop an understanding of the history, philosophy and benefits of FGC.
To develop familiarity with the conferencing process - referral, preparation process, conference stages, post conference.
Fee: $1,800 for two trainers plus travel and accommodation expenses if applicable

One-Day Advanced Training
Target group: prospective coordinators; child welfare staff interested in a deeper appreciation of the process
Goals:
To develop an appreciation of the role of culture in conferencing.
To develop and enhance skills in preparing children, preparing family members and service providers, facilitating safety
for participants,anticipating conferencing challenges, preparing reports.
Fee: $1,800 for two trainers plus travel and accommodation expenses if applicable

Two-Day Training Package - Basic and Advanced
Fee: $3,500 for two trainers plus travel and accommodation expenses if applicable

Mentorship
Target group: Prospective coordinators who have completed the Basic and Advanced Training
Process: Please see Coordinator Requirements.
Mentors: Selected members of the Training Team.
The Program Coordinator will make a recommendation as to when the trainee is ready to work independently.
Fee: $100 per hour plus travel and accommodation expenses, if applicable
It is recommended that the mentorship be concluded within 12 months of the trainee having attended Basic and Advanced training sessions.
