Groups for Parents of School-Aged Children
Parenting Challenging Children
This eight-session program is based upon research literature showing that parenting classes are one of the most effective interventions for children with ADHD-like behaviours (such as impulsivity, disorganization, distractibility and disinhibition). The Parenting Challenging Children program offers a group educational and interactional format which provides information about effective parenting strategies, social-contextual understanding and opportunities to discuss and practice new approaches.
This group will be useful for ALL parents of children ages four to eleven who want to learn new parenting strategies. The group will be especially useful to parents whose children exhibit ADHD-like disruptive behaviours.
